The TriBeCa Hive is a mid-rise mixed-use building designed for TriBeCa in New York City. This project was completed as part of the PennDesign Urban Housing with studio critic Hina Jamelle. The form of the project was developed through studies of naturally forming aggregations. The result is an urban building that functions like a hive for activity. Situated in TriBeCa, home of the TriBeCa Film Festival, this urban hive appropriately mixes theater spaces with a range of residential units allowing it to become a critical amenity to both the residents, tourists, and the surrounding community.
